is Looking For?
ACES is looking for Geotechnical
Technical Section Head to join our team in KSA.
Job Summary:
In coordination with
Department Manager lead employees under direct supervision and oversee the
overall activities of the Technical Section in the geotechnical department
including review of site investigation reports, personnel supervision, project
acquisition, and technical support. Providing leadership and guidance to staff,
and establishing and monitoring standards of excellence in performance. Ensure
full coordination and transparency in all activities, as well as staff training
and development
Duties and Responsibilities:
Managerial Duties:
·
Supports the Department
Manager in the establishment and implementation of Department policies, goals,
quality objectives, and procedures.
·
Supports the Department
Manager in the development of departmental business plans, new operation plans,
policies, procedures, and transition/migration plans that are in line with ACES
strategies and objectives.
·
Monitor costs and
resources in day to day activities.
·
Identify and take
advantage of opportunities and expands business by creating innovative services
or markets.
·
Build confidence among
employees and creates positive feelings and culture of belongings.
·
Create and develop
change management strategies.
·
Inspire, influence and
guide others to participate in a common effort.
·
Delegate and empower
subordinates.
·
Supports the Department
Manager in department staffing and budgeting projections.
·
In coordination with
Department Manager conducts Employee Appraisal reviews for the staff under
his/her supervision to evaluate individual performance, set individual
performance objectives in alignment with department level objectives, review
qualifications, identify training needs and obtain employee feedback.
Technical Duties:
·
Oversee all technical
matters, field testing operations, and technical procedures related to the
geotechnical investigation.
·
Assist Manager in
contract review related to site investigation works.
·
Process customer orders
and ensure all customers’ requirements are carried out in accordance with
contractual agreements and as per standard test methods and specifications.
·
Respond to customers’
inquiries and provides professional advice in the fields of operation.
·
Review geotechnical
reports.
·
Investigate existing
and potential non-conformities in the areas of activities, devise and implement
effective corrective and preventive actions.
·
Conduct development
research to upgrade the technical capabilities of the department and submits
recommendations to the branch manager.
·
Follow up on on-site
investigation projects by carrying out site visits, attending meetings, and
reviewing documentation.
·
Follow-up
implementation of safety regulations and protection measures.
·
Determine the need of
purchasing material for the geotechnical analysis (Software, Books, or
publications).
·
Determine The need for
field and laboratory testing equipment
·
Any duties or
responsibilities assigned by the management.

This position will directly report to the Geotechnical Department
Manager.

Job Requirements:
Education &
Experience:
·
Master or Bachelor
Degree in Geotechnical, Civil Engineering or any related field, Master is
preferable.
·
4-8 years of experience
in the field of Civil Engineering with at least 3 years of experience in a
supervisory position.
Knowledge, skills, and
abilities:
·
Strong foundation in
geology, including soil and rock analysis, and ground investigations
·
Proficient in
geotechnical investigation, testing, and laboratory studies
·
In-depth knowledge of
foundation engineering, piling, retaining structures, slope stability, and
shoring design
·
Skilled in developing
engineering geological models and interpreting stress states in various
conditions
·
Familiar with
environmental site assessment and remediation processes
·
Competent in technical
writing and preparing detailed investigation reports
·
Strong analytical
skills with a solid understanding of mathematics, statistics, and data analysis
·
Experienced in finite
element analysis and soil-structure interaction
·
Proficient in Microsoft
Word and Outlook
